ANY AMOUNT WILL HELP

I am attending the World Cancer Congress. This is very important in seeking sponsors, partners, and donors for the Mindful Food Program Inc. and International Pleroma Convocation, organizations that I founded to help provide nutritious, healthy foods to poor cancer patients on chemotherapy, provide counseling therapy, create cancer awareness with emphasis on remote regions, and provide cancer diagnostic funds to the poor, among other cancer care initiatives.

I have my return ticket to Geneva. I have everything else EXCEPT hotel, dinners, and transportation for the four days in Geneva, Switzerland. HELP ME, PLEASE. I leave for Switzerland on September 15th. There are only nine days left.

AUGUST PATIENT VISITATION

Uasin Gishu Region

We visited Elizabeth Sitawa on August 20, 2024, as part of our mandate at International Pleroma Convocation – IPC under the Mindful Food Program – MFP ; offering support to needy cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Sitawa was thrilled to see us and even stood up to receive us, a positive sign of her progress.

Her children were present, and we had a wonderful time sharing and encouraging them. She recently completed her 5th round of chemotherapy, with three more to go.

Sitawa has been consistent in all her treatments and remains incredibly positive. She is very grateful for the food deliveries we’ve provided.

Our next visit is scheduled for September 21, 2024. If you wish to partner with us in this course or sponsor a patient’s feeding in Kenya kindly reach out to us at info@ipc-africa.org or call 0102487248.

MERCY…..YOU, MY SIS, ARE MY TEAM

Dear @Mercy Mercy,

When I speak about #nopityparty you are my gang. Thank you for walking with your head up, for living your life fully, for being a great example to your daughter.

I look at this picture and I smile at how we don’t look like our problems. 2 cancer thrivers, walking the journey together.

Congratulations for successfully planning out first hope gala with a fashion show. I know that next year will be bigger and better. You are a gem and I love you my sister.

Keep winning! Keep thriving! We are alive. Let’s live!

GREAT THERAPIST GOD GAVE US

Let me tell you about Lilly Adhiambo Odero

This is a woman of Nyadhi. A woman with the dopest sensor. She will know when you are not okay. She smells and spots stress from afar. The cancer patients and thrivers at the Hope Gala in Kenya loved her. They appreciated how she spoke to them, especially during their rehearsal.

Lilly, when the designer was late, and I was panicking, I appreciated how you calmed me down. I look forward to more collaboration and teamwork with you in our humble and noble ministry.

Our patients at International Pleroma Convocation – IPC are fortunate to have you. Thank you for being our top volunteer therapist. Feel loved and appreciated by all of us 💜

MS. TINA LUGHANO

We were honored to partner last month with Little Mr & Miss Kenya for our ANNUAL HOPE GALA, 2O24 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Our Open Letter to their CEO:

Dear Ms. @Tina Lughano,

Your charisma left us speechless. We found a friend who saw us as equals. We saw no fear on your face when you interacted with us. Your smile and laugh was genuine. You listened to all of us. We enjoyed your company and your training.

As you trained us to be confident, step off the runway like we owned the world, and not care what whoever looked at us was thinking about us, you ignited new vibrant rays of enthusiasm and hope in is. And guess what, the HOPE GANG continues to thrive!

We would love to do this with you annually, and God willing, in different parts of the country as we awaken those of us who have lost hope, and have forgotten that they are alive.

ANNUAL HOPE GALA, 2024

I was starstruck by Louraine Akello – Lolo. This lady can sing. The first time I came across a video of her on Tiktok, I knew I would connect with her and work with her. Very professional young woman, keeps her word, passionate about what she does and is very respectful. Together with her colleague, the ever smiling, fun loving young man.

Akello, we were so honored to have you at the gala. I look forward to more collaborations.

THE BEAUTIFUL ANGEL ATIENO

We lack words to say how grateful we are to this young lady. A beautiful young lady, with poise and a angelic voice like her name. This young lady blessed us with her voice on July 27 at the Hope Gala.

Dear Angel Atieno , we were honored to be in the same room with you. May the Lord continue expanding your territories. May the whole world listen to you sing and look up in the sky and smile.

Asante!

DR. AWUOR’S PHILANTHROPY STORIES: IPC LAUNCHES “No Child Left Behind” PROGRAM TO SUPPORT CHILDREN ORPHANED BY CANCER

Dr. Awuor, a philanthropist and founder of the cancer NGO International Pleroma Convocation (IPC), has launched a groundbreaking initiative to support the educational needs of children affected by cancer-related loss. The “No Child Left Behind” program is a testament to her unwavering commitment to holistic care for families impacted by cancer.

Inspired by the poignant stories within the IPC community, Dr. Awuor recognized the urgent need for educational support for children who have lost parents to cancer. Many of these children are left with nowhere to turn for educational assistance after the death of their parents. Through the “No Child Left Behind” program, Dr. Awuor aims to ensure that these children continue to receive access to education and the support they need to thrive.

Edwin, the son of Esther Soteri, who passed away from cancer while under IPC’s Dignity Program, is the pioneer beneficiary of this initiative. With the generous support of the Sam and Hannah Education Award, Edwin has been able to enroll in school, marking a new beginning for him and setting a positive precedent for other children in similar circumstances.

Dr. Awuor’s vision for the “No Child Left Behind” program is to provide not just educational support, but also hope and continuity in the lives of children who have experienced profound loss. This initiative is one of many under her leadership at IPC, demonstrating her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

Individuals interested in supporting this crucial initiative are encouraged to reach out to IPC via email at info@ipc-africa.org. Your contributions will go directly towards sustaining and expanding the “No Child Left Behind” program, offering opportunities to vulnerable children in need.

For more information or to offer your support, please contact IPC through ipc-africa.org. Together, under Dr. Awuor’s inspiring leadership, we can make a significant impact in the lives of these deserving children.

DR. AWUOR’S PHILANTHROPY STORIES: TESTICULAR CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN AT MARIKITI MARKET IN NAIROBI

In April, Dr. Awuor, a dedicated philanthropist and Executive Director of International Pleroma Convocation (IPC), led a significant testicular cancer awareness campaign at Marikiti Market in Nairobi, Kenya. This initiative is one of the many impactful actions taken by Dr. Awuor to raise awareness about cancer and promote early detection.

Dr. Awuor, along with her committed IPC team, chose Marikiti Market for its bustling environment and diverse community presence, making it an ideal location to engage directly with men from various backgrounds. Understanding the importance of firsthand engagement, Dr. Awuor took a bold and memorable approach by going topless in the market to capture attention and underscore the critical message of early detection and regular testing for testicular cancer.

The campaign aimed to educate men about the importance of recognizing early signs and symptoms of testicular cancer, encouraging self-examinations and regular check-ups with healthcare providers. This focus on early detection is crucial in improving outcomes for those affected by this type of cancer.

Key messages conveyed during the campaign included:

  • Early Detection: Men were educated on the significance of early detection and recognizing symptoms, with an emphasis on the benefits of self-examinations and routine medical check-ups.
  • Regular Testing: The IPC team highlighted the importance of regular screenings, especially for those at higher risk due to family history or other factors.
  • Healthy Nutrition: Dr. Awuor and her team stressed the role of a balanced and nutritious diet in maintaining overall health and reducing cancer risks.

By engaging with the community at Marikiti Market, Dr. Awuor aimed to empower men with essential knowledge about testicular cancer prevention and early detection strategies. The initiative also served as a vital reminder of the importance of ongoing efforts to raise awareness about men’s health issues in local communities.

Dr. Awuor’s commitment to cancer awareness initiatives like this exemplifies her dedication to promoting wellness and combating the challenges posed by cancer. Through such outreach programs, Dr. Awuor and IPC play a vital role in fostering positive health behaviors and improving outcomes for individuals worldwide.

30 Days of Christmas Stories

Esther Soteri, a breast cancer ( stage 4) patient, and her family welcomed us with open hearts, turning a day of kindness into a moment of profound joy. Esther is not alone in her battle; she resides with her devoted daughter, Phey, and her son, who made the selfless decision to pause his high school education to support his mother’s treatment. Their family dynamics reflects resilience and sacrifice, as Phey’s elder sister, a nanny in Saudi Arabia, shoulders the responsibility of being the sole breadwinner. Our visit during the “30 Days of Christmas” brought more than just smiles; it illuminated their home with warmth and festive cheer.

Thanks santa!

This was the second patient; Lewis Mbugua. His medical reports will soon be out to ascertain the cancer stage. When we visited, we discovered that the whole family had tumors. From our patient’s mother to his brother. Our patient has a brain tumor that has caused him to loose his sight. Our santa was a group from Jamaica. Let me know if you’d like to be a cancer patient’s santa. The patients are mostly very sick, many have kids, many have been told nothing more can be done.

Thanks santa!

This is a zoom meeting that we usually hold before our visits. We met a very young girl, Maya, receiving cancer treatment in India. Maya is battling Lekemia and she was so vibrant. Ms. Pauline Mburu, author of YOU’LL SMILE AGAIN is Maya’s Santa this season.

Thanks santa!

Cancer patients and survivors know the pain of the process. My pink sis Ms. G, from Florida volunteered to be the Santa for Mr. Willy in Kenya. Mr. Willy is receiving treatment for Stage 4 throat cancer. Our visit was great! He was able to get a new fridge, a blender for easier preparation of fruits and a few more shopping for christmas.

Thanks santa!

Our dear Santa, Millie Olang’ kept her word. She shopped for the cancer patient she was matched with, Mercy Wainaina. Mercy was very appreciative and was upbeat. Her 5 yr old got a doll & Christmas dress 😊. It was a very educative session too. Would you be a Santa too, please. We have some more cancer patients who would be motivated by a visit from Santa (you). No minimum or maximum. The gentleman standing on the far end is our messenger Hudson. God bless him!

Thanks santa!

A few days ago, a Santa in Nairobi, Kenya surprised me. She wrote on my Facebook page… “Diana, give me one cancer patient to share Christmas with.” 🥰 A family in Eldoret was blessed by this very kind gesture. From the visitation we learnt more about colon cancer symptoms from John Waninga, the patient. We got colostomy bags, Christmas clothes for the three kids, a Christmas shopping comprising vegetable, groceries , wheat flour and a hen! Also his beautiful wife got her hair done in readiness for Christmas.

Thanks Santa!

THE LAST PATIENT ON 30 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

The 29th marked our last live visitation under my program 30 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS which ran throughout December 2023 on my Tiktok channel. Our patient and their messanger were all Lesotho citizens. We learned a lot about Lesotho. For instance, they shared that most of their cancer surgeries are done in South Africa. Our messanger was Ms. Makhwarai and the patient was Ms. Mahlo.

The live visitation show was co-hosted by my Candid Diana Tiktok channel programs coordinator, Minister Dorine. Present were: One of the patient’s santas Ms. Rose Oginga, Ihopee , Inc- Building Partnerships Together President, Candid Diana partnerships coordinator, Ms. Olivia Otuoma, 30 Days of Christmas coordinator, Ms. Onura, our other Santa for this season, who is also my pink sister, Ms. Cassandra, President, Angie Otuke, our pink sisters and surprise patient sponsor Ms. Tracy Adams in the UK, and my wonderful PA Ms. E. Olang’o.

We were privileged to see how a show of my flat chest to our patient who lost one breast to breast cancer brought an immediate big smile on her face and changed her demeanor for the remainder part of our session. She is currently undergoing her breast cancer treatment.

To more surprise visitations in 2024.
